18th April - Fringe benefits!

New haircut! I've been umming and ahhing about a fringe for years, and finally took the plunge. I love it! I am dorkily enthused about the variations on my current repertoire of hairstyles, but also entertained by how it looks when all out and messy!

feeling corporate

Blogger was being stubborn on Friday and Saturday, but this is what I wore on Friday. It's a sneaky dress that looks like a blouse tucked into a skirt, but without the risk of it untucking itself.

Dress - Target
Wedges - FSW

We move on Friday, so things might be a little inconsistent for a while.

overcast

So, this whole moving business is a massive pain in the proverbial! I have done so much cleaning etc in the last month that I'm not functioning on all levels anymore. I'm back at work, and have been oufitted as usual, but keep forgetting to photograph because I get home and change before I remember!

Dress - via Modcloth
Tights - eBay
Boots - FSW

I'm so exhausted! We move in 8 days and I can't wait.

grey by day

Back to work today!
I'm really liking the new availability of feather-weight tees. I like layering, and done right they look so floaty and chic. I'm not sure about this one. I love the colour and the feather/bird lazering, but it is SO static-y! There's only so much exstatic a girl can use!

I like how the top feels, but after looking at the pics I'm not sure I like how it looks.

Cardigan - Cotton On
Feather tee - Portmans
Purple singlet - Supre (yes, I know)
Jeans - Just Jeans
Boots - FSW

I don't know if there is a word beyond exhausted, but that's where I am.

daylight greyscale

Ah, spring! Will it be warm, will it be cool? Will it rain or will the sun shine?

Today was cool and overcast, and raining on and off. In fact, it started really coming down almost as soon as I had the tripod set up! Yes, you may have noticed an absence in drunken angles - the new tripod has arrived!
Today I wore the daytime version of this outfit: same dress and boots, different tights and cardigan.

Dress - Springfield
Cardigan - Portmans
Camisole - Cotton On
Stockings - eBay
Boots - Fly Girl London
Necklace - my wedding and engagement ring
(not so much a fashion statement as a necessity - they are so loose at the moment!)

Hoping for another flash of warm weather soon!

evening greyscale

Tonight was my lovely father-in-law's 60th birthday party. I decided on a slightly glammed up version of a frequent mid-season work ensemble. Basically, the only differentce is that if I was going to work I'd wear a camisole (so no-one would be traumatised by cleavage), leave my cardigan on and wear a little less eye-makeup.

Dress - Springfield
Lace-backed cardigan - Portmans
Sparkly tights - eBay
Lovebirds necklace (hard to see in my pics, but super gorgeous!) - Mikaela

The glittery tights are so fun! And, surprisingly, not itchy.

My wonderful husband informs me he has purchased a new tripod online, so hopefully the slightly lopsided photos will only continue for a little while...
